Episode 29: 2004 Montes Malbec
Our first Chilean wine was our first standout value. At $8.99 and a solid 4 rating, run out and get all you can. “So good, I’m going to drink this with a straw.”
A wine with lots of smoke, rich fruit, and an “oaky thing” going on, this would be “a good milkshake wine,” according to the Grapedonk. Whatever that means. But hey, it’s the first wine we finished during the review. Get it, get it, get it.
