This wine had a great label, and promised great things. But is it marketing hype or reality? With a smell kinda like a cigar, Grapedonk was intrigued.
Then the aftertaste hit. “Wahhhh!” Grapedonk cried. “That’s doing something really, really strange . . . it’s like . . . wet chicken.” On the wrap-up, he confirmed it: “Light pepper, grip . . . and wet chicken.” This wine didn’t bother our other tasters nearly so much, earning it a 3 rating.
We paid $7.99 for this wine. Buy it now at Bedford Wine Merchants.

I’ve never had the Smoking Loon cabernet, but I like the pinot noir. I gather you have an aversion to pinot noir, but i like it.
Have you tried 3 Blind Moose cabernet sauvignon? $7.00 a bottle and quite tasty.
Cheers

I whole-heartedly agree with you on this one. It does something strange. It’s “okay,” but lame at the same time. I won’t buy it again.
