This is a weird one. If you were playing a game of Stump the Grapedonk, this wine would win. It doesn’t fit into the standard fruits-and-peppers flavor palette. “I don’t know what to say about that,” he said, on first tasting it. “But it’s not bad.”
In fact, it was easier to describe the wine based on what it didn’t taste likeāno non-food flavors, no dirt, no smelly socks, no licking a freeway overpass. If you’re looking for something different, try this one.
We paid $7.99. Buy this wine at Wine Access.

I think Leather, Cigar’s, and maybe that mystery flavour is tomato soup. Sounds crazy but I swear I get it. Great wine, especially if you want to jump into Spain.

I work in a restaurant whose owners are from Ecuador, so we feature a lot of Spanish, Chilean, and Argentenian wines. I’ve tried both the white and red of the Marques de Caceres Rioja and love them both. They are somewhat indescribable, yet very smooth and easy drinking.
